A domestic violence call took a turn for the worst when three people were hit by a car; two of which were Cincinnati Police Officers.

The Officers were injured after a driver crashed into their investigation scene around 12:30am.

Officers responded to a call for domestic violence after a report of a woman being run over by a vehicle. The woman had minor injuries.

9News was told at the scene by witnesses that the two officers were hit and one of the officers appeared to have serious injuries.

Officers were attempting to start a police van because the engine wouldn’t start when the car crashed into the van.

Police identified the officers hit. Captain Gene Hamann is still in the hospital with broken bones. The other officer was treated and released.
